Traveler From Journey

Traveler from the video game Journey (2012), an atmospheric adventure game by thatgamecompany where players cross a vast desert, ruins, and a snowy mountain while discovering the remains of an ancient civilization, is the unnamed robed protagonist controlled by the player. The Traveler is depicted as a small cloaked figure with a scarf that grows as glowing symbols are collected, allowing them to glide and interact with magical cloth creatures throughout the world. The story follows the Traveler’s silent pilgrimage toward the distant mountain, with no spoken dialogue or explicit personal backstory, leaving their identity and purpose open to interpretation. During the journey, the player may encounter another anonymous Traveler online, creating a quiet companion dynamic built only through movement, chirps, and cooperation.
