Trigger words (12‐word line): (van gogh:1.2), thick impasto, swirling strokes, intense yellow, deep blue, expressive lines, cropped composition, starry sky, cypress tree, sunflowers, emotional turbulence, vibrant contrast

Overview

This LoRA captures the essence of Vincent van Gogh’s work: thick impasto brushwork, swirling skies, intense yellows and deep blues, expressive lines, and a deep emotional connection to nature and everyday objects. Subjects are immersed in a turbulent yet luminous landscape typical of his Arles and Auvers‐sur‐Oise periods.

In this presentation, all examples feature a simple wooden chair – a recurring motif that echoes van Gogh’s own Chair paintings (1888‐1889) – placed somewhere in the scene, from a studio corner to an open wheat field.

Stylistic Features

Thick impasto – heavy, visible brushstrokes that create texture

Swirling skies – vortical clouds and stars, as in Starry Night

Vibrant contrasts – intense yellow vs. deep blue, orange vs. cobalt

Expressive drawing – energetic, undulating lines defining forms

Cropped compositions – sudden cut‐offs, unusual perspectives

Emotional turbulence – scenes charged with solitude, wonder, or urgency

Usage Notes

Always include (van gogh:1.2) at the beginning of your prompt for correct style strength.

To keep the chair recognisable, add adjectives like rustic wooden chair , empty chair , simple chair .

For a more “painted” effect, increase LoRA weight towards 1.0 and lower guidance scale to 3.0–3.5 .

For real‐painting homages, name the original work (e.g., “Starry Night”) and add your chair. For imaginary scenes, describe the new setting freely.
